The Mermaid

The Mermaid is the place to be in Neaifu. Situated right on the waterfront, and open all day 7 days a week, its the perfect place to unwind after a hard day whalewatching or trimming sails. Packed full of memorabilia from all our yacht club members and other guests, and overflowing with friendly atmosphere, a lot of people actually have trouble leaving!

The bar specialises in cold draught beer and great local cocktails and the restaurant serves the freshest fish and seafood in Vava'u (delivered straight to the dock) and a truly international menu. Try everything from Tonga delicacies to good old bangers 'n' mash and fish 'n' chips.

Darts nights, live music, karaoke, and the most amazing displays of Tonga dancing (including guest performances) - it's easy to see why we're known across the whole Pacific and beyond...
