Sailing Vava'u
At Sailing Safaris, we pride ourselves on the personal touch, tailor-making
your sailing experience to suit you. Our company and our staff have
been chartering in Tonga longer than anyone else so no-one knows
Vava'u better than us. Our team includes NZ Coastguard Boatmasters,
an RYA Yachtmaster and an NZ Commercial LaunchMaster with more than
60 years combined sailing experience and 40 years chartering in
Vava'u. If that's not enough qualifications, we run the Vava'u Yacht
Club and are Port Captains for the NZ Island Cruising Association.
Bareboat/skippered charters If you're looking to sail in Tonga,
look no further. Our bareboat charters start from NZD$270/night
(3 night min) on an excellent budget sailing boat, Damn, see attached
page. If you're looking for something bigger, prices start at NZD$695
(2005 prices) for a 331 Beneteau, which can sleep up to 4. The full
fleet ranges from 27ft to 49ft monohulls & 42-49 ft catamarans.
We can also provide Tonga skippers, guides and cooks to make your
holiday that little bit more relaxing or to give you some local
experience or culture. The Tongans are warm and friendly people
who delight in showing you their islands and making your holiday
special.
